Tasked with coordinating testing in Massachusetts, Dr. Lee confronted the harsh realities of the virus firsthand, witnessing its impact in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Despite the emotional and physical toll, he remained committed to his dual roles as a healthcare provider and military officer, exemplifying servant leadership.

​Balancing his responsibilities as a dentist and a military officer, Dr. Lee led 18 National Guard strike teams, supervising over 300 soldiers in conducting 30,000 COVID-19 tests across various healthcare facilities. His dedication extended beyond professional duties, as he managed to provide support to his family and community while maintaining his dental practices. Dr. Lee's service is a testament to his exceptional character, both as a healthcare professional and a citizen soldier.
